Souls Harbor Founder - Pastor Ronnie E. Libby
Pastor
Ron Libby was born and brought up in a strong Christian home. He was
saved at the age of 22 after being discharged from the U.S. Army following
the Korean conflict. He then became the youth pastor of his families’ home
church and held that position for 6 years. In 1963, he became the pastor
of that same church and served The Charleston Pentecostal Church in
Charleston, Maine for
the next 37 years as Senior Pastor. It was during that time that he led a radio
ministry called Heaven's Harmony Hour for 17 years. In the latter part
of 1969 he felt led of God to give birth to a television ministry that
would be called Souls Harbor. Since its birth Souls Harbor has been on the
air consecutively year after year endeavoring to reach out to the souls of
men. Presently Souls Harbor can be seen throughout central and northern
Maine, as well as all the provinces of Canada. In the year 2000 Pastor
Libby retired from pastoring the Charleston Pentecostal Church and devoted
much of his time to nurturing
and strengthening pastors.
Sadly in March of 2014, after a period of declining health with multiple
issues, Pastor Libby passed away.
Pastor Libby and his wife Judy were married for 58 years. They are the parents of two sons, Rev. Rick and Rev.
Michael Libby, both ordained ministers.
Pastor and Mrs. Libby have 5 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
